Learning Objectives:
§State the relevance of the Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative (PPMI) and the Pharmacy Technician Initiative (PTI) in today’s healthcare environment
§List at least three goals of the PPMI and PTI
§Name one or more of the new expanded roles for pharmacy technician, as promoted through the PPMI and PTI
§Identify steps that need to be taken at the state and local level, in order to support expanded technician roles in practice
