It seems crazy to me that all hospitals don’t put this practice (interprofessional collaboration) into place. It is far more efficient and with so many talented professionals working toward the same goal, it has to improve patient outcomes. I am a strong advocate for this approach. I worked closely with the head of the pharmacy and together, along with the attending, we were able to come up with the best treatment plan for this patient. I appreciate that I was “heard” about my concerns.
